However, today there is a bigger pool of models that rely on porn as a full time job. During the 70's, 80's and 90's most everyone had other full time jobs and porn was a hobby and a way to make extra money. Today with web sites and promotions, performers stay in the business for more years now. In a nutshell, the shelflife of today's porn star is longer than it has ever been. The question is if that is good or bad. It does seem that many performers try to extend their run in porn by going the bareback route. Where do they go from there?
