If a actor is involved in BB stuff as an escort or in private life, all the MORE reason to 'wrap it up' on screen.

Production exists to make a profit, and in turn promotes the actor.

With luck, this is a win-win for both sides.

When a contract is over, it does not mean the actor is bad, it just means production does not feel a need to keep the actor as an exclusive.

For most actors, the jobs in adult are part-time at best.

More than on the legit side, adult performers have a limited window of time when they can perform, and be in demand.

Some move behind the camera, go into promotions or just retire from the industry.

MOST performers do just fine after their time in the industry. A FEW elect to go on to the BB market.

That is their choice, but limits them from a PR standpoint- mainstream firms dont want or need them, and club dates are hard or impossible to book.

It is not so much that Production does not care, but more of a marketing issue, I think.

The performer is responsible for what they do in private and onscreen. If they choose bb then they choose it for whatever lame reason they may come up with.
