X-Nico mentioned in the "Whip Hubley" thread, the oft-posited rumor about Mike's position as one of the more well-hung guys in the industry, who can easily afford to act like a big dick if he wants to, since he reputedly has one of the biggest, (other alleged HORSE CLUB FOR MEN members that have been named are Rock Hudson, James Woods, William Petersen, Robert Mitchum and Mickey Rourke...)

What rings my chimes about the man is the ultra-masculine aura he carries...Some guys you know are bottoms, some guys you would love to believe would flip-flop in a heartbeat...Mike is one of the few who looks like he was born to do one thing...put legs over his broad shoulders and slam that huge cock in until the guy (or girl) beneath him is begging for mercy, or begging for MORE...
So when his pants come down in that scene with Marg Helgenberger in SPECIES, wouldn't it be great if that smile on her face wasn't just acting?

He was also very noteworthy in MULHOLLAND FALLS and DONNIE BRASCO, but probably will never be able to shake his reputation started by the "ear" scene in RESERVOIR DOGS.

He's that rough-trade you always fantasize about taking home from a bar, and having him throw you the Fuck of Life...but you wouldn't trust him enough to fall asleep afterwards...

One reason I think he hasn't gotten to be a bigger name in film, is because he's always getting confused with another actor with a similar vibe, Tom Sizemore (STRANGE DAYS, SAVING PRIVATE RYAN.)

God, I thought it was just ME that had trouble keeping Masden's and Sizemore's careers separate! I wonder if anyone's ever thought of doing something really strange with casting, like having them play the same character who drifts in and out of a long film-- sort of like the casting of Carole Bouquet and Angela Molina as the same character in Luis Bunuel's "That Obscure Object of Desire"?
