David is an international powerhouse of talent, but the American public has not accepted his overwhelmingly obvious musical talent. Why? I ask why?

As one review so eloquently stated "If you want to hook up with some booty this album is required background music. DH is da man!!! I've never been so fly with the ladies as I am now that I have Hasselhoff's latest masterpiece flowing from the speakers of my Chevy Cavalier station wagon."

I've never accepted David Hasselhoff--the singer, song writer--since his songs doesn't convince he's sincere; Mr. Hasselhoff comes across as a male version of Britney Spears with a few more wrinkles. His showtune songs either make me laugh at him or cry since his songs & singing are terribly mediocre in their substance.

The rest of the world can have David Hasselhoff, the singer. He's terrible.

I must admit that I have seen a couple of his German concerts. He is considered a "God" in Germany. I guess there's no accounting for a lack of taste as personally I find his singing to be rather amateurish at best and I generally enjoy European pop music styles.

He's no Roland Keating that's for sure.

Doesn't David Hasslehoff's records still sell in Japan?

True, his "singing" (if you want to call it that" does come across as amateur-like. Sadly, I was more convinced with his Baywatch or Night Rider characters...

Sometimes, you just can't tell actors not to attempt a music career. Didn't he also play the title character in the Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde musical?

DDMorgan: David H. indeed played the title role in the Broadway musical "Jekyll & Hyde" towards the end of its run (to give the box office a boost $$$). He is also on the commercially released video version.

Thanks for the comments guys. Mr. Hasselhoff's lack of musical success in the U.S. is most likely is caused by two things:

1. His Pay Per View special that would have made him HUGE in the states aired at the same time as O.J. Simpson's Bronco chase. Viewership of Hasselhoff's special was cut dramatically due to that.

2. Four Aces uber-presence David Forest is NOT his agent.
