They say he is in line to do this and he is focused enough to be the greatest entertainer ever, with song, dance, and acting sklls. He is young enough to have a blockbuster impact and career, and be popular for as long as Michael and Elvis were. And he says he wants to be the greatest entertainer ever. What do you guys think?

When anyone says this, it's a sign in fact it won't happen. Who are "they"? Music critics?

Who or what is "Usher". Seriously. Although I don't listen to pop music stations on the radio, I catch a lot of magazines and media on TV and the Internet, read four newspapers every day, and I haven't a clue who you're talking about.

Well then, he'd better do something soon so that more than just screaming teenage girls (and gay men facinated by abs) will figure out who he is.

A lot of hype - who's his agent, David Forest?

If I am not mistaken...Michael and Elvis had tons of screaming teenage girls(and I am sure Gay men) as their fans, also.True, Usher is more R&B and Hip Hop at the moment...But I look for him to have tremendous crossover appeal and success in the near future. He is the next sensation, waiting to explode upon the scene! Especially, with the way Gen X young people are embracing Hip Hop Culture, they need a New Pop Icon...and Usher fits the Mold! Once rap dies down, I think Usher's stock will skyrocket!! I think parents are not afraid for their daughters to love Usher, as opposed to foul-mouthed Rap Stars.I think Usher can appeal to all ages and cultures, much like Michael has done...

If he got surgery like MJ there could be improvements.

I say no too.

Too many options these days. Music is too formulaic. To generate that kind of buzz, one must revolutionize.

Think about it. Elvis was a new sound. Madonna was a new sound. Michael Jackson was a new sound. Even Britney was a new sound.

But Usher? I don't know. I can't see R&B ever having the mainstream/confluent appeal that pop/rock does.

But what do I know? I'm just an almost 31 year-old with stitches in my ass!

Well, I'm going to say no, because while I have heard of Usher, I don't know who he is either. Was he in I Still Know What You Did Last Summer? I know he does music, but I don't know which songs.
